@canaryman69 Yess!! I agree but I believe that it is not the appropiate time to talk about giving tax breaks to anyone when we have a $14 trillion debt, 1) get spending under control, make massive spending cuts 2) I would probably not raise taxes for middle class families b/c they are struggling just to hold on amidst the crisis and small businesses too but hey spike taxes for wealthy estates and corporations whom incomes in the past couple years have rosen exponentially

  3. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 whom are doing quite well despite the crisis, and YES I was for extending the Bush Tax Cuts for everyone except top earners only 2% of small bus. would have been affected ANYWAYS getting distracted for some that are not doing that well raise their taxes lightly or atleast not give them tax breaks and spike taxes for the rich to pay off the debt. 3) then when we are debt free we can talk about giving tax breaks in fact why not an across the board tax breaks

  4. canaryman69 says:

@pepesvids spending cuts are a high priority but Osama Obama and the socialist democrats will not cut anything. Cutting taxes raises revenue because it achieves more economic activity. The higher the taxes the less revenue generated. Strangling government regulations cost us consumer over 1.3 trillion per year in higher costs of products and services. We need to eliminate many regulations. The yearly deficits and national debt is caused by excessive spending not lack of taxes.

  5. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 so families can be more confident and make purchases, small businesses could make the investments in their business to put them in the edge to better compete and hopefully they can grow and create jobs!! and sure give tax breaks to the wealthy and big businesses whith their more vast resources could stimulate the economy I just believe that it is not the time to talk about tax breaks, I have faith though that things will get beter I never doubt the bright future ahead of this great

  6. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 country!! like the great late Ronald Reagan said “I am not afraid of what lies ahead and Americans are not afraid of what lies ahead” I have no doubt that this country will rise proudly out of this crisis and if we only set aside our differences, the partisanship we can together make this country great again!!!

  7. 903harman says:

i think Obama is my new favorite President, he uses internet and technology to communicate with his people, instead of hiding.

  8. canaryman69 says:

@pepesvids that was meant for Osama Obama and the socialist democrats who were not working with the republicans in the last 2 years right? Suddenly when the repubs win you socialist dems want civility and compromise! LOL hypocrites

  9. warobsessive says:

To make more jobs, stop using robots in manufacturing industries. 80% of the US workforce works in the service sector (cashier, telemarketer, tech.support etc.). Remove the machines and millions of jobs will be open in the industrial sector. I got this idea from “Zeitgeist Moving Forward”.

    EGYPT
FIND YOUR LEADERS AND KEEP THEM SAFE.
1- Get the intelligent men and women that run businesses at the local level.
2- Get the teachers that teach children.
3- Find the women that have given birth to a large family. They know how to survive.
4- Get students that have fresh minds. Those that have stepped out of universities and have degrees in PHILOSOPHY and POLITICAL SCIENCE
5- Start creating programs for Free Market based on your Constitution and rules you are willing to obey
    WE WILL WIN

  11. canaryman69 says:

@pepesvids Ronald Reagan was talking to and about normal and rational thinking Americans not socialist democrats. Since when has democrats wanted to work towards liberty, freedom, capitalism, low taxes, less regulations, NEVER. Glad you liked what Ronald Reagan said but it doesn’t apply to you, sorry and it certainly doesnt apply to Osama Obama and the current group of socialist democrats in congress. Cheers mate

    Republicans suck.

  13. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 Lets leave behind the partisanship the politics the rhetoric and bickering I think we could point fingers here and there but that is not what our country needs, America deserves better dont you think Instead of looking back to the past two years or the past ten years going back to the Bush years, we should come together not as Republicans nor as Democrats but as Americans and instead propose constructive ways to create a better future for our children

  14. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 I am not a Democrat by the way much less a Socialist I dont claim party affiliation I am registering Republican this upcoming elections because I think that there is an opportunity to a fresh alternative to Obama from that party, Obama has a lot of work to do, issues to address if he wants my vote in 2012 I guess I know that Obama will run for reelection and that he will get the Democratic nomination so that is why im looking to the GOP if a Republican was in power and I wasnt

  15. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 completely convinced that he is doing the best job he could do the way I feel about Obama I would look into registering Democrat and into the possible alternatives coming from that party as an alternative to the current administration and I think thats how people should behave politically not so much as the letter next to the candidate but the candidate itself

  16. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 I do agree with you man that we should tax lightly so that money can instead better be used by the tax payer be it to help families out that are struggling, or so that businesses could inject it into the economy, I share with you the belief in smaller government, that we should reduce the size of gov. which has become too costly and too intrusive but I just think that it is not the right time to be having this conversation when we are hugely in debt

  17. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 I do agree with you man that we should tax lightly so that money can instead better be used by the tax payer be it to help families out that are struggling, or so that businesses could inject it into the economy, I share with you the belief in smaller government, that we should reduce the size of gov. which has become too costly and too intrusive but I just think that it is not the right time to be having this conversation when we are hugely in debt

  18. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 I think we should assure that we pay off our debt we are going to have to cut spending and raise taxes, once we are debt free we can talkt about the stuff you talk about and I’ll be right there behind you right on!! Economists and market experts have said that if we dont pay off our debt, we might have recovery, growth in fact seemingly robust growth we would be under the illusion that the economy is getting better

  19. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 but the economy would be like a house and instead of having cement foundation it would have jelly foundationa and it would be unstable, and the debt would trigger another recession a much worse one not too far from now, But I mean Im sure you are a Parent yourself dont you think its important that we dont pass on a huge debt to our children they deserve a better future dont you think its the right thing to do, certainly not the popular or exciting thing to do but the right thing

  20. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 to do, also its about market tensions, investors are not investing because of uncertainties regarding the future, and alot of those tensions, uncertainties gravitate around the debt, and can be relaxed by reducing it, balanced budgets it relieves alot of the uncertainties insecurites regarding where the economy is heading

  21. pepesvids says:

@canaryman69 I think I am being pretty rational dont you think hahaha

  22. Aaron72591 says:

@canaryman69 Lowering taxes will continue to add to our already enormous debt. We should have continued to cut taxes for the middle class only and taxed the top 2% instead of adding 400 billion to the deficit by continuing the Bush tax cuts for the rich. We are fighting two wars Unemployment and The Debt. You either lower taxes and increase the debt or raise taxes which will hinder employment. We should only give tax breaks to companies that keep jobs in America.

  23. AUSM92 says:

Cute speech but we all know he will do nothing to end the billions funneled to military and banking interests. He won’t repeal the millions of nanny state laws. He’ll do nothing to end the failed and discriminatory drug war.

Most worryingly he’ll do nothing to end the jingoism that gives the murderous/treasonous thugs in the CIA and .MIL free reign to murder citizens and set up puppet states at whim nor will he end the wealth destroying FED.

America might as well tear the constittuion up :( .

  24. AUSM92 says:

@Aaron72591 You fail to understand that tax hikes on the rich you call for are simply going to fund CIA drug smuggling and ‘regime changes’ that create terrorists who will in the future attack America and allies (blowback). It will fund to the tune of trillions American jingoism and interventionism. It will fund millions of nanny state public servants and fund the militarization of domestic police.

Given this you are as morally bankrupt as the state if you call for more taxes.
