@jonaslum If when deciding to vote for Obama, you knew the GOP controlled House would oppose him, then you’re lying or your memory is playing tricks on you. The GOP didn’t control the House when Obama was elected in 2008. The GOP wasn’t even in control of the House before that election, and lost additional seats in the House because of it.
Remember, it was Bush, Pelosi and the DNC controlled House in 2008 that pushed the Wallstreet bailout through, to the objection of fiscal conservatives.

After the stimulus bill shovel ready infrastructure nonsense, I don’t see why any rational person would trust Obama to reform anything involving transportation. Does he and the people he chooses to surround himself with have the both the capacity and inclination to eliminate waste or making anything more efficient?
Infrastructure improvements should try to eliminate jobs, not create them. Less people making tires, selling gas, and we need fewer workers if they’re working and not in traffic.
