Tiny Israel was created from land which was the historical homeland of both Jews AND Palestinians. The only area which remains outside of Israeli borders but which is not part of another state is the west bank, which Israel has been building on illegally, in contravention of international law for years, as the west bank is not part of Israel.

Dont be pedantic. The west bank is OUTSIDE of Israeli territorial borders and therefore Israel has ZERO claim and ZERO jurisdiction over it. All activity in the west bank therefore by Israel is in contravention of international law – regardless of history.

I served in Gaza twice before the pullout and can tell you that the only snipers are from Hamas.
When the Israeli army shoots civilians by mistake there is a loud outcry by the Israeli media and the incident is investigated. When Israeli civilians are killed in purpose, the Palestinian are rejoicing in the streets and hand out candy. International media coverage of Israel is biased. Especially the BBC, NYT, the Guardian etc.
The bastard President gets schooled by Netanyahu. Obama should keep his Ismlamic trap shut.
