Here’s a deal: Let the Bush Tax Cuts expire for all Americans making more than $200,000 a year individually or 250,000 as a couple, raise the debt ceiling as necessary to get us through to the end of 2016, cut defense spending, and pass finance reform so that companies can’t influence our system with money anymore. There. Sounds good to me.

Improving MPG to ~55 in 15 years is not an aggressive target. I’m glad Obama is trying, but it isn’t enough. We can do better. It won’t matter by 2025.
