@BigIzzyMI Quick correction, Puerto Ricans have fought side by side with American Soldiers since World War 1, not since the 1970′s, more like the 1930′s. Every single war in the 20th century in which the USA was involved, Puerto Rican’s were there as well giving their lives for the USA.
What is Obama doing in Puerto Rico? Doesn’t he know that we are paying for the gas in air-force 1? Obama is wasting our tax dollars on a speech he could’ve gave in New York. He is still completely destroying the economy. Would you truly want to re-elect this man who wastes your money. It took George W. Bush eight years to plunge into nine trillion dollars of debt. It took Obama less than three to bring unemployment up, and plunge us into six trillion dollars of debt.
Their are no jobs anywhere. It’s not an isolated case. So I guess Puerto Rico can wait in line with the rest of us.

@bostero1 But steven tells a truth there. There is some degree of tension because of that. Puerto Ricans are citizens of the US while Mexicans are not so Mexicans have this tensions towards Puerto Rico. But at the end of the day they’re all latino and its all good. But you can travel to Puerto Rico with no problems or worries as oppose to Canada or Mexico. But Canada and Mexico are awesome countries…just wanted to say that.
As I always say, the issue of status is between Puerto Ricans and the United States, its NATIVE people (anglo,hawaiianos,eskimo, african american) and Congress. Latinos refrain from commenting disparagingly and stay out. this issue has for years long before there were other Latinos in united states. Puerto Ricans opened the way for other Latinos, were the first Latina to reach the nation through the relationship of Puerto Rico and the U.S.. Our relationship will endure forever. how much it hurts
