Why public confidence in Obama administration ability to protect us from terrorist attacks is so low?
President Obama
When the citizens of New York saw Obama's 767 jet flying low they ran for cover. Even though there was an all powerful F-16 right upon its tail, quite capable to reduce the jumbo jet to splinters in a matter of seconds should such order come.
Obama however established himself as being reluctant to use force, as well as being eager to release detained terrorists and unwilling to interrogate them. The reaction of New Yorkers tells us volumes about public confidence in Barack Obama and his administration.

because the Administration want to return our nations security to one controlled by lawyers…when they only use the law to enhance their own power and ignore most of the ones we have already on the books
first it was a 747
second, it wasn’t Obama’s, it is the Air Force’s
third, Obama was in the Oval office, not on the plane
fourth, he left teethmarks in the backside of the person responsible
fifth the people who overreacted, suffer from post traumatic stress disorder and HOW DARE YOU TRY TO USE IT TO SCORE POLITICAL POINTS!
Hell yeah, seldon.
Lay down the freakin’ law.
I feel safer now than I have since 911. This whole Air Force 1 thing is much ado about nothing.
Actually the American people as a whole answer polls over and over that they now trust the Democrats more than the Republicans on national security. This represents a huge change, since the Republicans -owned- the national security issue since Nixon’s time. I think it shows just how badly GW Bush has damaged the GOP’s image.
But the govt. should have released news ahead of time that there would be airplanes flying low, circling the Statue of Liberty. That was a mistake. It’s strange that Obama should be blamed for that, since he was obviously out of the loop, he apologized and promised it wouldn’t happen again. I think it just shows how right wing media is grasping at straws.
Where are you getting your information on public confidence? Obviously if a low-flying jet is flying over Manhattan it would cause consternation but if you are trying to translate that into low confidence about the Obama administration’s ability to protect us, then you are evidently just making things up.
Ask New Yorkers whether they trust Obama more than Bush to protect them. The answer would clearly be, yes.
Did you bump your head and break your logic circuits?
It wouldn’t have mattered if Bush, McCain, or Abe Lincoln was in the oval office – a low flying jumbo jet chased by F-16s in NYC is bound to cause alarm. And, it is just plain silly to think that citizens would have felt better knowing that their President was willing to blow the 767 to pieces over their city.
