EWOK, says it best. Obama will not authorize any help to a Republican Governor that could dethrone him in 2012, especially, in the event Jindal does it right. So, far Jindal has shown very good proactive leadership, not sure how his golf game is, but the game is not important, while the Gulf is. Everything Jindal tried to do to save the states coast line was nixed by Obama, Salazar, or some other Administration wonk. We need 2012 to come quickly, so the Obama Administration and obstructionist can die (politically).

  2. LHOOQ says:

Obama authorized 6,000 troops to help with the spill.

    Jindal won’t deploy them.

Piyush Jindal’s a states’ rights politician. He’s against federal intrusions into state’s affairs.

He probably doesn’t want any federal money. He wants to be fair to the rest of the country and use some of the billions Louisiana gets from oil royalties to fund the clean up. That is if he and all the crooks in Louisiana politics haven’t already stolen all of the royalties.

Barack Obama does not care about Cajun people!

  5. Concerned says:

Well.. I think your criticism of the Great Obama is unnecessary, after all the man has to golf and all that important stuff!

  6. Blu says:

From what I have seen he has received nothing but lip service and a monkey wrench thrown into every effort to clean it up.

  7. Mr. Wolf says:

He received authorization to activate 6,000 National Guard troops. He only activated 1,053.

Gov Jindal’s state contingency plan to stop oil from an oil spill from reaching the marshes and other inland area was inadequate and now because of that he has to beg Obama for help. To top it off he has the nerve to blame his inadequate plan on Obama.

  8. Ewok says:

Obama isn’t going to help Bobby Jindal because he is a Republican and a threat, if Obama gives Jindal aid it will make Jindal look good and Obama would rather have Louisiana drown in Oil before that happens

    Edit @ poster LHOOQ
Here is a segment of your link: "Actually we asked the White House to approve the initial 6,000," Jindal said. "What they came back and said is the Coast Guard and BP had to authorize individual tasks."

IMO, I don’t think BP should be trusted to authorize "individual tasks" as they side-stepped safety regulation UNDER OBAMA’S WATCH!

Obama has sent troops but Jindal said. "What they came back and said is the Coast Guard and BP had to authorize individual tasks." How do critics of Jindal then turn around and blame the governor for not using troops if he doesn’t have the individual authority to deploy them. Obama has had very little support from Washington, mostly roadblocks, red tape and bureaucratic mumbo jumbo thrown in his path.
